Urban Bee Honey Farm™ | 250-
In 2009 Lindsay and Jason Dault started their Vancouver based business Urban Bee Supplies. It started in a 9’ x 12’ suite at the back of their house and quickly expanded to a warehouse in Ladner B.C. Once the business was thriving they decided to take a giant leap of faith and do what they have always wanted to do, purchase a farm and leave the corporate life behind. They sold their home in Tsawwassen and purchased an 11 acre farm in the town that Lindsay grew up in. Although they still run Urban Bee Supplies in Ladner, they’re focus is on the farm in Brentwood Bay.
If you’ve driven by the property you’ll notice that there is a lot going on, and a lot more to come. That is the site of the soon to be Urban Bee Honey Farm General Store. And exciting place for the whole family. See below for more details of what to expect in the future.
Currently under construction, is the new Urban Bee Honey Farm general store. This farm store will be a destination for all. Including a honey bar where you can taste honey from all over the world, an observation bee hive, with live bees right in the store!! Beekeeping supplies, honey bees, educational seminars, and don’t forget about the animals, there will be peacocks, chickens of all sorts, pheasants, and who knows what else.
A large part of the store is devoted to bee conservation, so you will leave with a whole new insight how you can help save the bees. The walking garden surrounding the store will only include bee friendly plants that will have all your senses excited. At the honey bar you will also be able to purchase delicious beverages made from our own honey and herbs grown on the farm. Take a stroll on to the front deck, grab a seat and sit back and relax.
Come spend the afternoon, relax in the garden and leave with a few extra tips on how to help bees in your garden.
While this location is being built, they will still be operating on a smaller scale in the upper half of the property. Follow the driveway threw the gate and you will come to the shop. There you can purchase local Farm Fresh Eggs, Seasonal Turkeys, local honey, honey bees, beekeeping supplies, pollen, candles and so much more.
If your curious what’s to come, this is the inspiration for our new shop, with WAY more flowers!
